Yes, bedside appointments there are routine, and Waypoint has completed them. Hospital access is still the hospital’s decision and follows its own visitor rules, and a patient has to be able to take part - awake, aware of what they are signing, and signing willingly. What if a patient or resident has no ID on them?
Ohio permits three routes to identity under ORC 147.50: the notary’s personal knowledge of the signer, a qualifying identification document, or the oath of a credible identifying witness who appears in person. ORC 147.50(D) treats a witness as not credible where they have a direct financial or other interest in the transaction, or are named as a party to that transaction — as grantor, grantee, mortgagor, trustee, beneficiary, vendor, lessor, lessee or in another party capacity. Merely being mentioned somewhere in a document is not automatically disqualifying, so whether a given relative qualifies turns on their role in the transaction rather than on being named anywhere in the paperwork. Tell us before the day. This is a different role from a witness the document itself requires.
Is the whole city covered, including South Lorain and the west side?
Yes. Lorain is covered end to end. Because the city is large, the exact address affects the travel portion of the quote more than it would in a smaller community, which is why we quote on the real address rather than the city name.
Where is the nearest place to take an assigned vehicle title?
The Clerk of Courts branch Auto Title office at 621 Broadway Avenue in Lorain; the Elyria office at 226 Middle Avenue is an alternative, since Ohio lets you use any county’s office. Waypoint’s part is notarizing the seller’s assignment on the back of the title; the office then processes the buyer’s application into a new title. ORC 4505.06 gives thirty days after the assignment or delivery of the vehicle to file, after which a five-dollar fee applies. Confirm current hours with the office directly.
Can an appointment happen at a workplace in Lorain?
